HPV vaccination and cervical-cancer prevention
Evaluating population-level prevention strategies with a mathematical transmission model for Alberta, Canada.
The problem
HPV vaccination strategies must account for transmission dynamics, population heterogeneity, and long-term cervical-cancer prevention outcomes.
My contribution
I contributed to the development and analysis of a mathematical model used to evaluate HPV vaccination and cervical-cancer prevention strategies in Alberta. This collaborative work connects mechanistic epidemiology with a concrete population-health decision problem.
Methods and tools: mathematical epidemiology, compartmental modelling, parameter estimation, sensitivity analysis, public-health modelling.
Status: Manuscript submitted to the Canadian Journal of Public Health.
